At the time of the first performance, Mr Austin was a member of the Tudor Rose Brass Ensemble playing the Tuba, as well as a member of the Tudor Rose Brass Quintet.

This work was later revised and re-orchestrated by the composer for Woodwind Ensemble with the solo part originally written for the Tuba transcribed for the Bass Clarinet. It was also combined with Scherzo No.1 written for Lousis Gerolami the Baritone Horn performer in the Tudor Rose School of Music Brass Ensemble. A complete study score is available for download (PDF file format) as part of the ScottOpus online recording and music library. This is the score of the two Scherzos transcribed by the composer in 2004 for Bass Clarinet and Woodwind Ensemble. Due to technical limitations the score has been divided into 7 sections each of 15 pages. The measures are, however, numbered for the readers convenience. In addition the score has been reduced to a letter size (81/2" by 11") format and thus suffers a little from reduced resolution. To download please click on the appropriate icon below.
