The Tudor Rose School of Music Boy Choir.

The Tudor Rose School of Music Boy Choir was a civic choir comprised of boys between the ages of eight and twelve years old. 
It was directed and run by the co-founder of the Tudor Rose School of Music Jane Adams Scheoner. All the members of the choir lived in or around the Ridgefield Ct. area and it performed both sacred and secular music. The aim of the choir was to encourage self-dicipline and poise through concert performance and to inspire pride in accomplishment. A further purpose was to provide cultural and personal enrichment while participating in planned activities and singing fine music.
The Tudor Rose School of Music Boy Choir was eventually divided in two. Firstly, the Concert Choir which served the community through regular concert performances. Secondly, a smaller group was chosen, at the discretion of the Director of Music, to form a special a choir to undergo thorough preparation to sing concerts in major urban areas.
The members of the Tudor Rose School of Music Boy Choir in the summer of 1977 numbered twenty. Their names appear below in alphabetical order:-

Apart from staging its own concerts (see program example right)
the Tudor Rose School of Music Boy Choir was featured together with the Tudor Rose School of Music Girl Choir in the yearly Tudor Rose School of Music annual Christmas Concerts "Praises in Ages" held December 1976,1977 and 1978 at St. Stephen's Church Ridgefield Ct. In addition and again in collaboration with the Tudor Rose School fo Music Girl Choir, the Tudor Rose School of Music Boy Choir staged in June of 1978 a complete performance of Trial By Jury by Gilbert and Sullivan.
