TOPIC:- Mass in Thanksgiving.

The Mass in Thanksgiving is a Votive Roman Catholic Mass. (see Topics Roman Catholic Mass, Roman Catholic Mass Format and Votive Mass). It should not be confused with A Mass of Thanksgiving or A Mass at Thanksgiving/A Thanksgiving Mass. A "Mass in Thanksgiving" can be celebrated in thanksgiving of anything and at any time so long as the rubrics of the Votive Mass are followed (see Votive Mass). It is not therefore a celebration of the American holiday "Thanksgiving Day" or linked in any way to the Protestant/Anglican celebration called "Harvest Festival". Naturally the Votive Mass in Thanksgiving celebration can be used to celebrate those holidays but is not limited to being celebrated at that time.
The "Thanksgiving" motive feature significantly throughout Kerry R. Scott's compositions and writings. The most obvious of these is Mass 2100. Mass 2100 is a votive Mass. In addition it is a complete musical setting of the particular "Votive Mass in Thanksgiving".
